Just prior to joining the Village Board, he served on the Rhodes School Board for several years, where he was involved in various committees of the Board, he helped to steer the most recent school expansion project and he also served as Secretary of the Board.
Personal
At home Ben enjoys working in the yard and facing the challenges of vegetable gardening. Indoors, Ben likes cooking comfort foods and tasty sweet treats. Ben and his wife Sandra, along with their two daughters reside on the west side of River Grove near Rhodes School. Both of his daughters are proud graduates of Rhodes. His oldest daughter went on to attend both East Leyden High School and Triton College. One of Bens most satisfying accomplishments as a Trustee thus far is the installation of several signs that provide information about the early history of our Village. Ben thinks that River Grove is a great place to live and raise a family and that it is important for everyone to be involved or active in your community. He is committed to improving the community for all but especially for the young children and future generations to come.
