Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri, 9h District, and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have unanimously appointed River Grove Village President Dave Guerin to the Pace Board of Directors. The backbone of Chicago's suburbs, Pace Suburban Bus is one of the largest bus services in North America and serves tens of thousands of daily riders from 284 municipalities in Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane and McHenry counties. The agency enjoys a national reputation as an industry leader.
"I am honored to be able to serve the residents of River Grove and surrounding communities on the Pace Transit Board," said Guerin. "Pace is a very important part of our community and a premium transportation option to many. Pace has a big impact not only on people's everyday lives but also on the business community."
Pace Suburban Bus is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of thirteen members. Each serves a four-year term and, with the exception of the Commissioner of the Chicago Mayor′s Office for People with Disabilities, must be a Mayor or Village President from his or her respective region, or a former Mayor or Village President residing in his or her respective region.
