As part of their commitment to public safety, Mayor Dave Guerin and Village officials have spent the last several weeks conducting a search for highly-qualified part-time police officers. This search has resulted in the hiring of four new part-time police officers to maintain the high level of quality protection and service that our Police Department currently provides.
"Our part-time candidates went through a very rigorous screening process and after careful consideration we selected these four officers," said Mayor Guerin. "This administration is committed to public safety and we are very happy to add to our supplemental police force making River Grove an even safer place to live."
River Grove Police Chief Rodger Loni was equally pleased to have the new officers join his department.
"The River Grove Police Department is proud to announce the appointment of four new part-time police officers," said Loni. "After numerous interviews, the top four candidates were selected. All four have previous full-time police officer experience which will help expedite their training process. Congratulations to Frank Esposito, Mark Flis, Joe Giovenco and Nick Picicci."
