To help kick off the holiday season, Mayor Dave Guerin and the River Grove Fire Department will be conducting their 18th Annual Santa Stop Food Drive.

  • What: The 18th Annual Santa Stop Food Drive
  • When: Sunday, December 2, 2018
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Residents must be present for Santa's arrival
  • RSVP Required! Any River Grove resident interested in scheduling a visit from Santa for the purpose of making a contribution must call Village Hall at (708) 453-8000 before November 30th

Santa and his helpers will be accepting donations of non-perishable items, paper products and toiletries for the River Grove Food Pantry. Items accepted include canned vegetables, soup, chili, macaroni and cheese, diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, soap and toothpaste. Food items that are past the expiration date will not be accepted. Over the years, the generosity of the residents has been overwhelming and everything collected stays in the community. Children love the visit from Santa and are excited when the Fire Engine arrives at their home to collect donations. Be sure to have your cameras ready! Santa's visit makes for great pictures and memories! If you would like to donate food items without the visit from Santa, simply drop by Village Hall during regular business hours with your donation.
